华盛顿, PA (October 11, 2023) – 华盛顿 & 杰佛逊学院&J) today announced it will receive a transformational gift of approximately $50 million to support student scholarships – the largest philanthropic donation to the College in its 242-year history and one of the largest ever to a liberal arts college in the United States.
The generous gift is provided by the estate of 安妮卡·唐南·罗恩斯利, who became W&J’s first female trustee in 1975 and passed away on August 9, 2023. The scholarship endowment bearing her name will provide need-based support to students from the 华盛顿县, PA, 地区的学生在W&J.
